New version released yesterday from Fedora Extras development still has the collection scan bug.
Any further information available? Anyway to raise the default error count from 20 to a higher number? Being able to skip all files with errors would be much better than nothing This default of 20 in there somewhere, I have yet to find it! Thanks Andy |

Well 5% for me would be over 5000! That would probably do the trick!
is SV the only method to get 1.4.5? |

Mark,
ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/unstable/snapshots/ The development link takes me there, but I can't find any source! Am I in the wrong spot? |

Here:
http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Download:Source Follow the downloads for source and I end up on the KDE ftp site. |

Mark, is there no tarball source to download?
The SVN documentation appears to be incorrect and i'm stuck! |

Mark, if the collection scanner checks characters:
How or why does the 5% or 20 bad song titles apply? Is the above not implemented? |

Today's svn, same problem, what wrong with these files?

If you want to help us debugging:
Build SVN with --enable-debug=full (the script does this anyway), and run the collection scanner in gdb. Try "amarokcollectionscanner --help" to see how it works. Then, when it crashes, type "bt" in gdb and send us the backtrace.

Mark, most excellent! I'm happy to help, just didn't know how except to keep reporting it was broke with the new versions!

How about this? I got this within about 3 minutes of the collection scanner running. Usually, in gui mode, it runs to 100% then outputs the offending files, takes about 3 hours.

That's actually interesting. A problem in TagLib, while reading an embedded cover image from the file. I'd guess that most of your problem files have an embedded image.
Best thing to do is make a bug report for TagLib (bugs.kde.org), and attach the backtrace.

Thanks Mark,
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140157 Please let me know if I can provide any further info. Is it possible to scan disabling the cover image pulls? |
