may i thank you guys first for your great program.

i have this stupid problem
from time to time (every three months or so) i rescan my whole collection.
after this scan, sometimes i get double items in my playlist, although they refer to the same tracks.
these double items also appear in my context browser, under the albums. an album with 10 tracks, suddenly has 20 tracks.

how can i solve this?

which version of amarok are you using? Did you build from source?

i'm using version 1.4.3, on kde 3.5.5
i'm using gentoo, so it's basically from source

solved it, by removing the collection-folder, restarting, and recreating the folder
