Hi , I am looking for advice in two matters.
First, I am am looking for a way to set the font in the collection browser independently from my kde settings. Is this possible?
Second, I need some help in a rather strange setup I have here. I have my collection on a server and the stereo connected to it and previously had used NX to X-forward amarok running on the server to my laptop. Then, after I had bought a Nokia N770 which hasn't an Nx client I used normal ssh X-forwarding to use it as a wireless remote. But since that method lacked text input and on connection drop the amarok process even gets killed I moved to vnc. It took me a lot of time to figure out some usable vnc settings but I am not totally there yet. My problems have to do with paths, environment variables and probably dcop. I start a vnc session with an xterm on a distinct display to which I later connect with a client and start amarokapp via xterm. This works sometimes, but on other occasions amarok may complain that it cannot find output plugins and shuts down or it starts but then it complains that it cannot connect to klauncher. And amaroks behaviour seems totally arbitrary. What am I doing wrong here? If a start a kde session in vnc and start amarok in that all works fine, but of course that is a little overhead.
