Hello, I'm experiencing a slight problem, hope you can help me or at least explain it
About a week ago I had to rebuild my Amarok db (using MySQL btw), ever since then I've been having problems when renaming or deleting albums from my harddisk, after Amarok finishes scanning the collection again (automatic scanning enabled), the album is still listed under the artist, except with no songs in it. For example, I renamed the album "Trust in Trance" by "Astral Projection" to "Trust in Trance 3" and changed the artists of some of the songs, but it still includes songs by AP. Now, if I click on "Astral Projection" in my collection (using Genre/Artist/(Year) Album), I see several albums, including Trust in Trance 3, and Trust in Trance, although the latter was supposed to be removed from my collection. Can anyone enlighten me a bit about this, because it worked fine before... Thanks in advance, Tim Theijsmeijer

I have no clue what is causing this.
Maybe it helps to rescan the whole collection instead of just updating it. |

Yeah, I think that'll help, only then I'll lose all my ratings...

If I rescan the entire collection, I lose my ratings, playcount etc, right? Or am I a little bit confused now...

No, this should not happen (but of course, feel free to back up your ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok folder before doing the rescan), never happened for me.

I'm having the same problem as you. Only it occured after I reinstalled my computer and copied the old home directory into the new one. Amarok was updated to 1.4.4 at the same time.
The albums are all there but no tracks in the collection. I have to use the amarok's file browser to play music, which of course is annoying... Have you found any fix for the problem ?

No, but it seems you're having a different problem, I can see all my music in my collection, only some albums that have been removed have just the album name listed, but no songs under them. Sorry
