Amarok 1.4.4 and MySql 5.1.11

Wed Jan 31, 2007 2:23 am
Hi people!

Does anyone know if MySQL 5.1.11 works with Amarok 1.4.4. I've just upgraded from 5.0.33 and Amarok doesn't see collection anymore.

I still can see collection in mysql-navigator, however amarok shows an option to build collection. If I try to build collection Amarok starts to build collection and finish it without any results and errors?

It seems like MySQL 5.1 is not supported yet in Amarok, can anyone confirm this?

It can be permission related problem cos' I can connect through mysql with the same username, password, hostname and database as I have configured it in Amarok.

Thank you,

Damijan

Why don't you use the login credentials you use for mysql-navigator?

If you can't connect to the database with the credentials you supply amarok then amarok cannot save the information so you have to make sure you have a working login.

Hi it is really weird, because I try to login with to the same database on the same host (localhost) with the same name and password as through myslq-navigator. And also through the same port (3036).

What could be possible wrong? I don't get any errors though.

Cheers,

D
