Hi.
I have this problem very often : my music is on another PC and share via samba. On the local PC, I mount the share folder with smbmount. I use a MySQL database to store the collection information. If I try to interrupt the collection update when amarok starts it crashes and it becomes impossible to kill. See what's happend here :
This is very anoying since I have to reboot my box in order to relaunch amarok (and as any Linux user I really don't like to reboot). And yes, I tried to wait some time and see if it finally defunct (if you consider that 10 hours is too short for the program to defunc, then it is a problem anyway) Does someone has any idea on this issue ? probably the answer is going to be related to either samba itself, or the way you have your share mounted. check the amarok wiki for tips on samba.
