Newest Tracks Playlist?

Sat Mar 17, 2007 12:02 am
Hello,

I'm using Amarok 1.4.5, and I'm trying to get a playlist that finds the tracks that I've added in the last X days.

I tried using the Smart Playlist called "Newest Tracks" (located on the "Playlists" menu, under "Smart Playlists"-->"Collection"-->"Newest Tracks".

However, this playlist lists all the artists in my collection in alphabetical order.

Then, I tried creating a Smart Playlist, and giving it the criteria "Modified Date" is in the last 2 days.  This doesn't catch the newest tracks in my collection.  If I change it to 60 days, it finds some tracks, but it will not find the songs added in the last 2 days.  The songs that I loaded yesterday *are* in my collection in Amarok.

I tried updating my collection using tools "Update Collection", but I don't think I should have to, because the newest songs show up in my collection.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

I found a workaround----

I changed the criteria to be:

Modified Date is after 3/14/2007

This gave me the songs I loaded between 3/14/2007 and the current date.

I ran a full update of my music collection, but that didn't help with the "Modified Date is in the last 2 days" query.  So anyone who has the same problem should use the "Modified Date is after xx/xx/xxxxx" query mentioned above.

Hope this helps,
