Hi
I been a longtime Windows user but I know want to learn Linux. I am using Ubuntu Edgy but I also have Kubuntu installed too. My files are located in a Windows partition in a folder called Music. I have given a read access to these files so my music players can play them. Before I switched I made all my playlists .Mu3 so that I could import them in Amarok however when I tried to import the playlists in Amarok they imported with all the song titles and everything but when I tried to play one of the songs in the playlist it came up with a error. " local file does not exist" I don't know why this comes up so I went to Rhythmbox and tried to import the exact same playlists and they play perfectly through the playlist. So I am not sure why it does not work in Amarok. Also I found that say if I have a folder called Rock with a submenu with Rock1,Rock2,Rock3. Now I want to click on Rock and normally it would just highlight that folder then I would either have to double click on it to go to the next folder down(so it would list the 3 subfolders Rock1,Rock2,Rock3) or you just hit ok and it will just import everything in Rock and all submenus of Rock. But with Amarok I am finding that when I go to import some folders the second I click once on Rock it goes right away to the submenu list just as if I would have doubled clicked it. The only way I can stop this is by holding down shift and click what is kinda dumb since I know it probably should not be like this since on my brothers computer when he goes to a folder he has to double click to go to the submenu as it should be. |
