synctags plugin - simple question..

Wed Apr 04, 2007 12:25 pm
Hi

I think i'm missing something obvious, but how do i access the last.fm tags. I understand how to use the script to add tags, and have rescanned my collection, but where do i now view the tag information? Does it allow me to view all of the music that matches a particular tag? I can't find anything on the net about this and suspect i'm missing something obvious...

Please help!!

I think what you're referring to can be found by right-clicking on an item in the current Amarok playlist and clicking "Edit tags".

Not really. I want to know what the synctags plugin does. It sounds great if i can play music in my collection by last.fm tags, for example a mood, but i can't figure it out.... All i know is that i can add tags to my music, but what's the point?

You can click on a tag name in the sidebar while the music is played, and you'll see all the tracks with the same tags.

It's a pity that smart playlists aren't tag-aware :(

Ah. I see. I should have guessed that the tags would appear in the sidebar. Thing is, now i know this, i'm sure this isn't working. I can't right click on the tracklist and edit tags, nor view them anywhere. :/
