Amarok Version: Amarok 1.4-SVN-0704220055 (Using KDE 3.5.5)
KDE Version: Release 3.5.5 Distro: Ubuntu Edgy Eft 6.10 running Kubuntu Desktop Type Of Music Trying To Play(?): Metal Engine: Xine It's an Update Collection Bug. When you add a new album, Amarok doesn't auto-update the collection like the normal non-svn version. Then, when you click UPDATE, it goes in endless loops of UPDATING the collection, like on the bottom, it will say updating collection, then go up to 100%, then stop. Then repeat. Clicking on any of the artists in the Library does nothing, as when you click the plus sign, no albums show up. But, in the context showing, it shows that it did update my collection with the new songs, adding it to the total, but in statistics it hasn't been updating. Shutting down, and reopening Amarok fixes this. Also, scanning a collection instead of UPDATING it, will work too. Thought you guys out to know.

Hi cubanresourceful,
did you enter a bug report on this issue? I recognize here also endless repeating update process with amarok 1.4.8 on SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 SP1. The library contains most of the mp3 file two times. Regards, Torsten |
