My playlists in Amarok just fails to start. Even when i make new playlists it fails to load.
First it says in the bar: Some media could not be loaded (Not playable) Then it says: These media could not be loaded into the playlist: file:///home/u5/.kde/share/apps/amarok/playlists/CD's.m3u If i try to make a new playlist with another name the same error occurred. Anyone know why? Iv tried to install it over and over again but the same error always pop up. ![]() I tried to ask people at Ubuntuforums but without any luck. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=419037 |

Are you trying to play mp3 files?
Remember, a playlist isn't a music file, it's just a list. The problem is more likely to be that you don't have mp3 support installed.

Open the m3u file with a text editor and take a look if the paths of the music files are correct.
Anyway, Amarok seems to destroy its database by itself quite often, my database had problems, too, so I needed to rebuild it... |

Well ok. This is really strange. It fails when i dobble click the playlists. But by leftclicking and then click load, it works. Why is it like this now when i could dobbleclick before?

Double-click on the playlist, as in double-click in Konqueror?
Hmm... Find an M3U in Konqueror and Right-click > Properties. Where it says "Streaming MPEG Layer 3 Audio", click on the little wrench to the right. Under "Application preference order", make sure Amarok is listed first. If it is, click it, click "Edit", then click the "Application" tab. (Lots of little dialogs here, huh?) Make sure the "Command" field reads "amarok %U". (As long as you're here, if you want Amarok's default behavior to change to enqueuing, rather than overwriting the current playlist, change it to "amarok -e %U".) |
