I'm using Amarok on Ubuntu 7.04 and a Sansa m240 player.

One problem I'm having is that when I try to transfer podcasts from Amarok to the m240, Amarok seems to not create the needed subdirectories (such as artist name) on the m240.  If I create the subdirectories myself, there's no problem with the transfers.

Does anyone know what's up with this and/or how I can get around it?

I did try one fix: in the configuration dialog for my sansa device, I set the "Song location:" field to "/%filename".  I was hoping that this would eliminate the need for podcast-specific subdirectories.  Unfortunately even that location specfication still involves one podcast-specific directory, so this didn't work.

I set the "Podcast location" to /music/
Then Amarok places a directory for each Podcast title. Does this help?

Any news on the folder problem? Did you find a workaround?

I recently bought myself a Sansa e280 and I'm pretty happy with it - but I'd like to handle it with Amarok a little better, like saving my songs to "/music/%artist_-_%album/%track_-_%title.%filetype/" - and this fails because the need of creating a subdirectory first...
