Hi
I'm having trouble with the way amarok presents my music. I have the sidebar with all my songs (by artist, then album) and a blank scrren on the right where i can build / enqueue songs for a playlist. I would rather have it like itunes, wmp, or mediamonkey where all of my songs are presented to me and i can just clik on the ones i want to hear. I want amarok to start at the song i click on and just squentially play my files. For exmpale, how can i go about opening amarok, and having it play random songs from my entire library? I suppose i could just make a massive playlist of every song, but it owuld have to make a new one everytime i get new music... any advice is much appreciated. thank you |

Pretty much all the questions you ask are answered in the amarok handbook You can find it on the 'help' menu. As a starting point, look for 'dynamic playlists'.

something as baisc as displaying one's entire lbrary involves searching the manual and setting up dynamic playlists?? It seems so counter-intuitive compared to most other music players. Thanks a lot for the help though, i'll give the users manual a good look through when i get home.

cool.
i had a look into the dynamic and smart playlists, and can think of some really cool things to do with them. Much better than i had first though, so thanks again! ps: documentation/help isn't available for gnome users apparantly. i just googled the manual though. |
