I recently just made a mistake and repaired my system by updating to the new system. Everything is there. No worries. Just when I start up amarok it goes. Updating database. Then about 15 seconds later is just dissappears or crashes. I am not understanding. My computer does hold alot of music. 30 GB to be more exact. Can some one tell me how to maybe stop it from trying to update the database on start up.

Try removing the config:

rm ~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc
