Hi everybody!
I'm kind of new here, so first of all I want to thank the developers for this great program I've been using now for about 1.5 years. And there's no alternative! But since about some weeks I ran into the problem of not retrieving the related artists from last.fm which normally show up in the context browser. This always used to work, I thought it was a problem with my computer, some kind of messed up configuration, but a friend of mine has the same problem. "Retrieve similar artists" is turned on and the artists are known by last.fm (checked that). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, -mauli- |

Just tried it out just now and it works fine. I dropped the related_artists for an artist, played a song by that artist and sucessfully recieved the recieved related artists.
Do artists that already had related artists still have related related artists?

yes. they do. Actually I forgot to mention I'm using v1.4.4 on Debian Testing (Lenny), but that is the version from the stable release. So everything should work fine. My friend upgraded to 1.4.5 on Ubuntu and this solved the problem! Maybe there was a change from 1.4.4 to 1.4.5? Or some library changed...
I just hope the new version will enter Lenny soon, cause this feature is great! |

Hey,
first of all, thanks to all the people devoting their time and skill to this project. With this being said I was quite supprised to find my problem at such a prominent spot on the help board. I experience exactly the same lack of "related artists" info. Unfortunatly I havnt noticed since when it is like this. Here some info on my sys: debian etch (stable) amarok 1.4.4 gnome And I just checked, my last.fm exchange is working correctly. all my "recently played" tracks are up to date withing the last.fm web interface. therefore i suppose the account info within amarok must be correct as well. So does anyone have a hint what might be the reason I dont get any "related artists" info anymore? the corresponding option within context browser is activated of cause. Anyway, thanks for your time and assistance with this issue; Eric. btw: of cause, if further info on my system or used programms is needed, do not hesitate to let me know... |

as mentioned in a post above, try upgrading to at least 1.4.5, preferably 1.4.6 and see if you still have the problem.
