When synchronizing in MTP mode, I've come across a condition where Amarok creates two instances of the "parent" directory within the parent directory... For example, in Preferences -> Devices -> MTP -> Configuration, the last field is for the "folder heriarchy" or order. There I usually leave it as %a/%b for an Artist/Album organization onto my MTP device. However if add something like Music/%a/%b, upon formatting the device I'll end up having a Music top directory just bellow the root of the device (as expected) and THEN there'll be another Music directory within the "parent". It usually is like this (when viewed with mtp-folders):
I don't mind much this, but since I use my MTP device (iriver Clix) on Windows computers as well, this creates a problem when trying to sync stuff with these other computers, basically it all gets scrambled. I'm currently still using 1.4.5, but I don't think 1.4.6 addresses this (or does it?) |
