Version: Amarok 1.4.6
Distro: Ubuntu 7.0.4 (running Gnome with KDE 3.5.6 backing up KDE apps) Engine: xine Hiya, I've found that when I hook up my MTP device using a rechargeable battery to Amarok and transfer files, it generally drains about a quarter of the battery's strength. I've tried this with fresh batteries on numerous occasions. If the battery gets too low (or dies), the transfers of course fail. I haven't seen this with normal alkaline batteries, because I don't use them. Device: New iRiver T10 (MTP)

Doesn't the T10 include a rechargeable battery in tune of the S10 or Clix? I've got a Clix and actually it recharges while transfering files, as it can only charge when MTP connected to an MTP-aware app (like Amarok or Gnomad2)

Nope, the T10 takes one AA battery, either alkaline or rechargeable.
I'm told it may be a libmtp problem. I'm trying to compare it to some other programs, but honestly, nothing else really works for transferring data to this device. Gnomad2 is slooooow and misses metadata, and the svn of Rhythmbox has MTP capabilities, but is pretty clunky and crashtastic. Maybe I should try from the command line. But I'd rather do it from Amarok... so close! |
