OSX with MySQL

Tue Jun 26, 2007 5:54 pm
So, I just got my build of amarok running on my G4 Powerbook.  Seems good so far.

My collection and it's accompanying database all reside on a main server.  My linux machines mount the filesystem as an SSHFS share and the Mac uses Samba.  Then, I just point the Collection Configuration to the amarok database on my server.  Problem is, there doesn't seem to be anywhere in the configuration to select a database!  Did I miss something?

Thx,
Matt

You could mount the Samba share as a CIFS share in OSX and access the share as if it were local.

The share mounts fine.  How do I configure the MySQL database.  There's nothing in the configuration panel that allows me to select a database...

Amarok must be built with MySQL support in order to use that.

Oh great.  Is there any documentation anywhere on how to do that with fink?
