Smart playlist bug

Thu Jun 28, 2007 1:09 pm
Hi,

I was trying to set up a smart playlist today.  What I wanted was all of my classical music that I had NOT listened to in the playlist.  I selected the following options:

Match all of the following conditions (ticked)

Genre is Classical
Play Counter is 0

Order by artist Ascending is ticked
Expand by artist is ticked

All is grand.  However.  Every single band in my playlist comes up in the side bar expanded window, classical or otherwise.  Dragging a band that is, say, post-rock means that nothing goes across (ie, isn't classical, more than 0 plays), but why is it showing in the side bar under the expanded smart playlist?  The smart playlist only allows me to drag the music that fits the criteria, but why does it show it all?  The purpose of my playlist is to show me, at a glance, what musicians I have not listened to in that specific genre.  NOT to show me every single band.  That hardly allows me to select my music.

Not sure if this is an actual bug, or a design issue.  If it's design related, I must say it is incredibly confusing and counter intuitive.  If I make a playlist requiring only certain conditions to be met, it hardly makes sense that the expanded view of the smart playlist shows ALL bands, regardless of whether or not they fit the criteria.

My specs:

Ubuntu Fiesty Fawn
Amarok 1.4.6, using KDE 3.5.6
Engine: Xine engine
Using SQLite

Thanks,

Damian
