When I update my iPod from Amarok, it sorts my music differently than iTunes. Specifically, artists with 'The' in their name (ie, 'The String Cheese Incident') will get separated into two distinct artists. This wouldn't be a big deal (in fact I believe iTunes does this too) but for some reason Amarok puts all the 'The' artists way down with the other T artists instead of ignoring the 'The' like iTunes does.
This type of problem makes Google next to useless, so I haven't been able to decide if its just me or other people are having it too. It's hardly a show stopper, just makes finding songs a bit more of a pain. Anyone have any ideas short of using a different program for iPod management? I'm using Amarok 1.4.6-1 from Debian Sid with an iPod video, in case that helps any. Thanks a bunch, Nathan |
