amarok-arts engine?

Tue Jul 03, 2007 1:23 pm
Does the amarok-arts engine still exist? I'd like to network my sound from amarok, and as far as I can tell from lots of reading, I need amarok to use the arts engine so that arts can send the sound over the network. I've seen mention of amarok-arts for kubuntu dapper, but it seems to have been dropped after dapper. I don't see any references to it for edgy or feisty on the web. It's not in my feisty repos. All I have in the repos is the xine engine.

Is there any way I can accomplish what I want using kubuntu feisty?

No, arts engine is the way of the dodo. For networked sound, use the xine engine with the pulseaudio output plugin:
