Hello Amarok Community,
A few weeks ago i started to use ubuntu linux and amarok. I'm using a mysql database for my amarok collection. The first part of my collection is on usb hd 1 and the second on usb hd 2. each is mounted in /media/. i usw two symlinks to the mp3 folders on the hard discs. /music/symlink1 to mp3folder1/ and /music/symlink2 tomp3folder2/ I use /music as collection folder. when i create the collection the first time everything is fine , but after reboot and 1 usbHd isn't mounted amarok only can play the music on the first, and displays /media/usbhd1/mp3folder1 instead of ./music/'symlink1 to mp3folder 1'. the files on the second which isnt attached arent playable, which is correct. but when i reattach the second it stays the same and the files arent playable because the path which is now ./mp3folder2/. is wrong. in the amarokrc file the collection folder is 4=./music . i tried to reconfigure the database in amarok where the collection folder was marked in a wrong way. this changed the collection folder in the amarokrc to 3=./music. i hope this was unterstandable. can it be possible that the dynamic collection feature is the reason for that? how can i reconfigure amarok that everything stays working? or simply stays the same? |

What version of Amarok?
And its possible the symlinks are confusing Amarok, I would recommend just enabling them directly so that it can be ruled out.
