i found some references to others seeing this on the web, but only in the picard/musicbrainz bugtracker.
picard sets "date" (DDMM) and "year" (YYYY). when i open the collection in amarok it uses the "date" field if it's there preferentially over "year" in the year column. i searched around on this and found no other references on amarok pages to this problem. maybe it's been decided it's not your problem? i'm unclear on what's the standard here. also, is this as close as we get to a bugtracker for amarok? thanks eg: this song's year shows up as "509": [erict@byzantine]~ ![]() *** Tag information for /mnt/mpthree/HORSE the band/Pizza/01-Anti-Pizza-Pizza-HORSE the band.mp3 === TIT2 (Title/songname/content description): Anti-Pizza === TPE1 (Lead performer(s)/Soloist(s)): HORSE the band === TRCK (Track number/Position in set): 1/5 === TALB (Album/Movie/Show title): Pizza === TCON (Content type): Nintendocore === TDAT (Date): 0509 === APIC (Attached picture): ()[, 3]: image/jpeg, 53378 bytes === UFID (Unique file identifier): http://musicbrainz.org, 36 bytes === TXXX (User defined text information): (ALBUMARTISTSORT): HORSE the band === TXXX (User defined text information): (MusicBrainz Album Type): ep === TXXX (User defined text information): (MusicBrainz Album Id): 0f015f88-66a6-4f70-92da-850610c1e80a === XSOP (): frame === TXXX (User defined text information): (MusicBrainz Album Status): official === TYER (Year): 2006 === TXXX (User defined text information): (ASIN): B00006ZY16 === TPE2 (Band/orchestra/accompaniment): HORSE the band === TXXX (User defined text information): (MusicBrainz Album Artist Id): 0c6b687a-1225-47a1-b6a9-55381755ecf4 === TXXX (User defined text information): (MusicBrainz Album Release Country): US === TXXX (User defined text information): (MusicBrainz Artist Id): 0c6b687a-1225-47a1-b6a9-55381755ecf4 *** mp3 info MPEG1/layer III Bitrate: 128KBps Frequency: 44KHz |

Bug tracker http://bugs.kde.org as mentioned in a million posts
![]() It's possibly a taglib thing, but the devs would know for sure. Either way, looks like it needs some attention ![]()
