Moving old playlists to new installation

I began using Amarok in Kubuntu Edgy Eft, and I created some playlists. I copied the system to another location before I installed (to a clean drive) Feisty Fawn. I would like to use my old playlists in the new system.

I created a short playlist in the new system, and it shows in the sidebar. Then I copied the old playlist files to the new playlist folder, and restarted Amarok.

Amarok would not display any playlists as long as the old playlist files are in the directory, even the one I just created.

I'm using the same music collection, so paths to songs are the same. Permissions for the old playlist files are the same as for the new playlist file.

"Tiz a puzzlement."

What must I do to bring my old playlists over?

Have you tried to import them?
In the playlist tab: Add->Playlist->Import

Thank you for your reply.

No, I hadn't. I didn't see that when I was looking for it.  :redface: I have done so, and my old playlists are in their new home.

This gives rise to a feature request:

Please make a menu entry in the Playlist menu for this. There are already entries for adding and saving, so I expected to find an import/export function there if it existed.

Problem is that the "Playlist" menu entry is for the playlist (right side of the window), the playlist tab is something different (main problem is the confusion about the playlist management tab and the "real" playlist).
