Listing multiple artists separately

Tue Aug 07, 2007 3:08 am
I want to organize my music library so that albums that are by multiple artists will be listed under each artist.

For example, if I have a Beatles album featuring Ravi Shankar, I'd like it to show up under The Beatles and under Ravi Shankar, and not create its own artist, The Beatles with Ravi Shankar.

Is there a way to do this? I've tried searching for answers, but nobody seems to be asking this question...

thanks for reading

You cannot do this at the moment. There have been a few discussions about how to get this done, but it is hard and not solved yet.

This is probably not exactly what you want, but you can easily filter for what you want. The little search box over top of your Collection list will narrow to exactly what you type in there. So if you want Ravi, type that, and move the tracks to your playlist. Filter for his daughters too, and you'll have the entire family.
