Hello.
First of all, I use Amarok 1.4.7 on FreeBSD-6.2. I use to correct tags of tracks in my playlist (I use smart/dynamic playlist). If I select multiple tracks (while one of them is currently playing), edit them one-by-one and then save changes, Amarok just advances to next track, and if its tags were changed too, it skips this track and goes to next one etc. If I edit ONLY currently playing track's tags, Amarok keeps playing it. Amarok sat on version 1.4.5 quite long in FreeBSD ports, but I had this problem in that version too. Is this a known problem? Silver |

Is it possible that changing the tag means the track no longer meets the smart playlist criteria? That's the only thing I can think of that might affect playback, although I can't see it should skip the tracks if they're IN the currently playing dynamic playlist. Mainly because it's perfectly possible to add tracks manually to the sequence and they'll play.
If I get a chance I'll try it today and see if I can duplicate the behaviour, although I'm running it in os x, so someone running natively might be better off checking.

Actually I don't think it would be possible. I have 2 smart playlists - modification time newer than 7 days, and "Most played". So the track should actually become to meet the criterias even more
![]() BTW, can the rules about predefined smart playlist seen anywhere or are they hardcoded? |

The predefined ones are hard-coded. Although the names pretty much describe the function.

But it would nice if it was possible to a little tweak them.. a'la "most played, besides this-and-that" etc. But I thought that if they are hardcoded, maybe I can create some smart playlist with rules similar to the hard-coded ones, but well.. I didn't figure out how can I make "most played" playlist with rules..
But this is a little off-topic anyway.. ![]() |

The only way I can think of is to use the 'playcount' variable, but it would require some tweaking every now and then as your plays increase.

About the original bug.. Amarok skips track also after "Editing Tag Title" and pressing Enter.
But well.. I guess I'll just try to submit a bug report, although I've tried it twice for now and I seem to get some very weird error when trying to query bugs from bugs.kde.org ![]() |
