I know Amarok can work with a "collection" spread over multiple folders & drives...
Okay, so now I have a USB drive connected with 279 GB more music. How do I get Amarok to see that drive and scan it, and include the music in the collection? When I "configure collection," it only gives me folders actually in the internal hard drive as options, how do I tell it to scan the external USB drive? thanks! w |

aha! I think I figured it out! Under "Media" right? There is my USB drive - I checked it and now it seems to be adding the files to the collection.
a more general question: is there a basic amarok manual online that I can study and memorize somewhere? There are some help files I see, but I haven't found a comprehensive manual yet. I would volunteer to help with the writing & editing of such a manual - am a professional writer & reviewer dude... w |

Probably the amarok handbook (help menu, handbook) is the most comprehensive... I *know* for a fact it's not up to date though, as I think I was close to the last person working on it, and I haven't had time to do anything since 1.4.3 was out. There's a wiki page set up for handbook development, although it will all need complete rewrite for 2.0.
