I have a desktop Linux PC with Amarok installed, and I would like to control the playlists remotely from my laptop. I want to log in to the PC using ssh, and open a playlist window on the laptop's x11 display, thus controlling the music playing on the PC. I could do this using an entire VNC copy of the desktop, but ideally I just want to open a remote playlist window. How can I do this? If I run "amarok" or "amarokapp" from the command line in ssh, I get the Amarok startup banner, but then no windows. Presumably the windows are "minimized" somehow, but there is no taskbar icon on my remote x11 display. Is there some command to restore the minimized windows, or to make them stay in the foreground when I launch Amarok?
