Yeah I know... Millions of times someone had this question... But I didn't find a solution for me yet...
Okay, so I have my Music on a NAS-Harddisk. The drive gets mounted to /home/deloco/MP3Musik. It's mounted via the fstab with this "//NAS/MUSIC /home/deloco/MP3Musik cifs ip=192.168.1.30,codepage=cp1250,user=deloco,password=xxxxxxx 0 0" Maybe there are some other options, but that's not the poiint, because it works, well it doesn't automatically mounted, but I can mount it wih "mount //NAS/MUSCI" as root... My Problem is the following: Amarok doesn't scan my collection. It stops randomly at 8%, 53% 95%... One time it scanned the whole collection, so there actually is my Music in amarok's collection, but the automatic rescan doesn't work... It's kind of annoying, because I use the automatic rescan to add new music to my collection... As far as I know it works with local folders, only on the NAS it doesn't work... Has anyone any hint on this? Greetz, deLoco.

Hooray, that makes us two... I just can't think of a solution... Hm... Anyway.. I think I will move my Music back to my PC's Harddrive... Maybe it would work with a CIFS-Share on my Server... But that's no good solution for me, because I bought the NAS to get rid of the ever-running Noise-Machine... I just have to saay, that the Network integration of NAS is much easier in WIndows... and makes less problems... On my Windows Machine I use MediaMonkey for Music and it works fine with the NAS...
Hm... If anyone has an Idea what it could be that stops amarok from scanning the collection please let me know...
