Hi Folks.
Amarok says it cant connect to 'some' of my fave podcasts. pretty sure i know _why_ it seems some podcasters use redirects and /or scripts that shoot Amarok off via somewhere at podtrac.com to keep count of how many listeners there are subscribing. (thanks Pete an Frequencycast.com !) some affected feeds i use are here.. 'Security Now' .. from Leo Laportes Twit.tv podcast network.. not much Linux info tho.. i have emailed and asked him for a hand. no real joy as yet. http://leoville.tv/podcasts/sn.xml and a British TV/Multimedia news podcast i enjoy, .. i asked Pete there, and he did a little digging around, he suggested it *may* be my Podcatcher. http://www.frequencycast.co.uk/casts.xml my software is Amarok 1.4.6 under KDE 3.5.7 PCLinuxOS using the Xine engine. weird thing is, the podcasts all worked well under a previous Amarok... though they may not have been using Podtrac then. I tried Rhythmnbox and Castpodder.. with very similar results, on the same two podcasts. weird. Any ideas anyone ? this has been the case for months.. Mark |
