Hi everyone. I'm a complete Ubuntu/Amarok newbie but I'm hoping to learn something from here and maybe add advice to someone else in the future.
I'm running Amarok 1.4.7 (using kde 3.5.8 ) and Ubuntu 7.10 with a dual-boot and XP on my other partition. Here's my problem: I had my iPod hooked into my system as I transfered songs to my hard drive in Windows and set them into iTunes. While my iPod was still plugged in, I logged into Ubuntu and Amarok searched and added both the MP3/MP4 files from my hard drive and the files from my iPod into the collection so now I have double and even triples of some songs. When I try to open these doubles (from the iPod) into the playlist, I get an error that says, "Local file does not exist" even when my iPod is hooked up. I was wondering if there is some way I can delete these extra tracks from my collection? (Please keep in mind that I have no idea how to run complicated scripts but any help will be greatly appreciated.) Thank you! |
