Does anyone know how do instruct Amarok to transfer all video podcasts to the location "..Videos, Video Podcasts" on my 30 Gig 5th Generation iPod? Right now, all video podcasts are being placed under "Movies" on my iPod.
Thanks, m |

can't be done. since currently amarok can't tell what is a movie or what is a video podcast we assume videos. perhaps in 2.0.

Amarok can tell apart regular audio from audio podcasts. The same mechanism should work for video, and the code was written as to take this into account. Unfortunately, I cannot test this as I don't have a video capable iPod. But I'd say, it is a bug if it doesn't work.

Thanks for the reply. iTunes has no problem telling the difference between a video podcast, a movie, or a music file. iTunes does have problems telling the difference between a music file and an audio podcast but the video/movie files are in perfect order. Hopefully, Amarok could use that same logic. As it stands right now, all my video podcasts are being dumped into the "Movies" location on my iPod. This is an inconvenience but not a show stopper. It would be nice if those files were at least organized by title and artist whilst being placed in the Movies section on my iPod. Now they are in no particular order at all. Completely random. How about this, give the users of Amarok the option to manually tag files as "Movies" or "Video Podcasts" or even "Audio" prior to transferring. I could multi-select all my files very quickly the apply the tag manually. This would save time searching through the iPod later. m |
