destination preview

Tue Oct 30, 2007 7:35 pm
Hi - I'm enjoying Amarok 1.4.3 in FreeBSD, but one problem with adding CD tracks to my collection:

I right-click on the track, then Manage Files, then Copy track to collection.

BUT ... the "destination preview" is unusable, eg /home/me/Music///13./13

> solved this bit with "custom format", but still get the error message below:

and I get the error message "Sorry, one file could not be organized".

I'm guessing that the 13./13 bit refers to the track number (although CDDB is working fine and getting track titles). The three slashes are presumably what makes the track 'unorganizable'.

> NOPE - "custom format" works

How can I change the default format of the "destination preview" so that

a) it picks ups the track info ?

> STILL can't get this right - %filetype gives nothing (it's 'stream' in the UI) and nothing for %title or %artist

b) it defaults to something that actually lets me 'organize' the file ?

Is there a config file somewhere I can edit on the command line ?

Thanks for any ideas.
