I am encountering a problem with .flac files in Amarok. Currently, I am using Ubuntu 7.04, running the GNOME desktop environment, using the xine engine for Amarok. I ripped these files with k3b. When I attempt to play the files, it works just fine. However, when I attempt to fast forward through the files, Amarok "waits", that is, it's silent until the amount of time that I fast forward through passes. Attempting the reverse simply triggers a fast forward. I played the files through MPlayer, on which fast forward and reverse works fine.

Any fixes available?

I have been experiencing a vary similar thing. But I'm using Kubuntu 9.04 with Amarok 2.0.2 back when I was using open suse I had no problems with Amarok.
