Hi,
yesterday i got my new mp3player with ogg support (Teac MP-500BT)
now i'm trying to synchronize my collection (all ogg) with amarok.

I can access the device, but i can't transfer my songs because i can't set up ogg as an supportet format for the player.
it always dissapears after i choose it from the list. when i choose mp3 i can't delete the entry from the list.

The player supports MSC and MTP mode for usb transfer  (currently set to MSC)

i'm using ubtuntu 7.10 with amarok 1.4

First check under the Cionfigure Media Device protocol if ogg, is there, and if it is, does it have an "&" in front of it.  If it isn't there and you add it, does it get an "&" in front of it?

I don't know what exactly the bug is, but if you're getting that, close out of Amarok, and do this:

-Open ~.kde/share/condig/amarokrc
-Do a find for ogg; you'll see it as &ogg
-Delete the & and save it

You should be able to transfer oggs now.  If that doesn't take, just try opening that same file, and look for the line that reads "supportedFiletypes."  It'll probably say something like

supportedFiletypes=mp3

Make it look like:

supportedFiletypes=mp3 ogg

Then save, close, and try it again.

This is a known bug that has been fixed in SVN and will be fixed in 1.4.8 - no scheduled release date at this stage, so in the meantime, use the workaround posted above.
