I notice that when I connect or disconnect my ipod, amarokapp pegs the cpu. This usually lasts for a minute or a few. I did an strace on amarokapp during this period (after a disconnect) and it looked like amarokapp was constantly doing nanosleeps. Any ideas?
Thanks, Alex P.S. I'm using amarok 1.4.7 and libgpod 0.5.2-2, both packages provided by ubuntu (gutsy). |

It's not happening here. I have the latest libgpod SVN and amarok-1.4.7 compiled against that library. Connecting is a breeze and disconnecting (flushing the caches) takes about 20/30 seconds in a 4/5 GB transfer. Contact the package maintainer, maybe its some library poltergeist. What iPod is it, by the way, mine's an iPod Classic 80GB.
