Amarok Skips A Specific Album

Sat Dec 22, 2007 4:51 pm
Amarok (v1.4.7 using KDE 3.5.6, using Linux Mint, based on Kubuntu Feisty) has decided that it doesn't like Who's Next (Disc 1) by The Who :P I rip the CD and Amarok dutifully loads it into the collection. It will play happily for 2-3 days. After that time, if I try to play any of the tracks, Amarok just skips them. No notice, no error, no sound - just instantly skipped. However, it doesn't do it for tracks on Disc 2 of the album (which are listed as a different album in Amarok).

So, I deleted the files and re-ripped them from the CD. They played fine to start with, but this time, within one hour they were being skipped. I have tried ripping them in different formats (FLAC, OGG and WAV) and exactly the same happens (but with a seemingly random time delay). I have also tried changing the tags on the tracks, but that doesn't help either.

This doesn't happen with any other album by any artist (including The Who). It seems to be specific to disc 1 of this album.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If you need any more information, just ask, and I'll do my best to provide.
