Hi!
I had configured amarok to transfer music to my iPhone when I had version 1.4.6 it worked like a charm, both music and artwork. Yesterday I updated amarok to 1.4.8 , i transfered some music but now i have no artwork in my iPhone. I checked the properties of the songs, and it shows the artwork... the problem is iPhone wont. Anyone with same problem?? |

Perhaps you are still using a version of libgpod that happens to work with your iphone by chance?
For good results, you need at least libgpod 0.6.0 (which knows about newer ipod models and iphones). Otherwise it would assume that your iphone does not support artwork. If you are already at libgpod 0.6.0, then I have no idea what might be causing your problem: artwork is fine (but slow) here. |

Hi
Anohter thing. I said that amarok 1.4.6 worked fine for music and artwork, but I missed to tell that when I plugged my iPhone on iTunes, it would destroy my songs database , yeah, it showed my songs with the " ! " sign an when I unplugged it my songs were not playable. Kinda strange, I had to erase them from amarok and put them back again. I checked for libgpod versions installed, and i got 2. The one in which depends amarok is : libgpod2 (ver 0.5.2-2) The other one in which depends ipod-convenience (but i never use it ![]() Amarok depending on libgpod2 ver 0.5.2 means that i should somehow upgrade libgpod2 ?? Any suggestion on how to? That seems strange since it worked fine in the previous version of amarok. Edit: Ive got the ppa update (which includes amarok depending on libgpod 0.6.0) . I can set my iPod model to iPhone, but i can not see my artwork as I did before . Comments?

I'm having a similar problem on my system. I just got the iphone for Christmas, so I've only used it with 1.4.8, but it seems like the ArtworkDB isn't updated at all, it's staying at 2.6k no matter how many songs I put on there. Other than that, the syncing is working great. If I could just get cover flow working, that would be the icing on the cake. Thanks for the help.
Rick Edit: After a bit more screwing around, it looks like the album art of the first song I move over is put on the device fine, but anything after that doesn't add any album art. Occasionally, the later songs will overwrite the first one (so the first song has incorrect album art), but I can't seem to reproduce that consistently. Hope this helps a bit.

Here is the solution:
If you mount with the command: sshfs -o workaround=rename root@... the artwork will show!!!! |

Okay, I have basically the same issue: My iPod touch syncs fine, but the database for music won't update correctly. It gives me the "No Music" screen in the Music application.
So, how can I get AmaroK to work with libgpod0.6.0? |

You have to set your ipod model and your FirewireGuid, see http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Media_Device:IPod for more information.
