hi guys, i have ubuntu 7.10 and I installed amarok. It works fine, but i can't add file to a collection. I have all my music in my vfat partition (mounted at startup in /media/sda8). I can play these files from amarok, from Files TAB. The problem happens when I add directory inside collection preference. I set something like: /media/sda8/Music. Amarok starts to scan directories but it doesn't add anything! Amarok version is 1.4.7 (KDE 3.5.8). I tried to edit amarokrc file manually, but it didn't help. Any suggestion? :D

P.S. Previously i had music on an external usb hard disk and I could create collection with no problems.

I also have the same problem,

I am running Ubuntu 8.0.4, with Amarok 1.4.9.1 Using KDE 3.5.9.

I have a MYSQL database running, and confirmed working becuase i have added a small music folder containing 3 songs on /user/music.

However, my harddrive with ntfs partition "/media/disk/My Music" doesn't do anything once I select it to the database.

Thanks for any help.

Both of you, please read the many other threads on the forum about vfat, ntfs and samba-type music drives.
