Hi, I just got kubuntu installed this week and was looking at all the apps here and was amazed to find Amarok. It's got the features that i always wanted and in fact i wrote a player called cymbaline years ago that had scores and album-based navigation, and I thought I'd have to get it working again but these features are in Amarok. However I ran into a little issue - when I seek, there is a loud jarring skip sound that's a bit painful when in headphones and when the volume is high. I looked at engines and only xine is available. I downloaded amarok-engines package and restarted amarok, but still I only see xine there. Help anyone? thx..

Only advice I can give you is upgrading your xinelib, which might help, or not. FWIW, I haven't had such issues recently.
