Hi,

I've been using amarok for some time in combination with mysql for faster library acces.
A couple of days ago I reinstalled my system with kubuntu.
One of the first things I installed again was Amarok and thus also mysql.
My music collection is on an external disk ext2-formatted.
But now every time I reboot or umount & mount the external disk, the collection disappears.

The connection between mysql and amarok seems to work fine other than this, because when amarok has a collection I can also find the same info trough:
$mysql -u amarok -p
$use amarok;

e.g.
$select * from arist;
and then I get the list with artists, but after I umount it's actually empty again.

How can this be?
I don't have any experience with mysql besides using it for amarok, so maybe that's where I misconfigured something.

mysql  Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.45
Amarok 1.4.8
KDE 3.5.8
Linux 2.6.24-2-386

EDIT:
Looks like this is a "dynamic collection" problem (it should check if the drive is mounted or not, as in previous versions of amarok).
I didn't have this problem before reinstalling my system (when I still had amarok 1.4.7).
So could this be a bug in the amarok??

The same problem here.
I have an USB hdd with fat32 format. If I choose to use the sqlite database mode also I get an empty collection for each time I mount/unmount the hdd, and I have to re-scan it again. It happens since 1.4.8 upgrade.
