Amarok, FireFly and MP3 Player

Sun Jan 13, 2008 1:11 pm
Hello,

I run Amarok 1.4.7 on openSUSE 10.2 on a system which has no local music files on its disk but just streams from a FireFly server running on a different system. I would like to transfer music files from this server directly to a MP3 player attached to Amarok, but I haven't a way to do it: I drag files from to FireFly server to the playlist first (which works nicely), but when moving them from the playlist to the media device (MP3 player) and try to transfer, all transfers abort with "This title can not be played on this player" (or similar as the installation is in German).

How is it supposed to work? I don't really want to copy all music first from the server to Amarok and then again to the MP3 player.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Arnd
