Just curious if anyone has figured out a way to fool a website that only allows podcasts to itunes? Sort of a browser agent-switcher extension like available in firefox or maybe it is just not possible?
I'm new to trying to learn amarok since I just got me a cowon D2 and seeing if I can figure out the podcast feature for amarok. I've got it downloading more open (available to any) podcasts, but have occasionally run into an itunes only site, such as http://mrdeity.com/ cheers, jd

Well you should complain, that's pretty silly. Every podcast on iTunes has an RSS feed, they should publish its whereabouts.
I would be interested if there's another solution though... Ian

oh - RSS feeds - that site (mrdeity) does have an RSS feed so maybe that is all I need to use? Just checked on my windows machine (at work) and it may work for me somehow back on my linux box.

Yep, a podcast is just a RSS feed with links to sound files.

Are you saying that I can enter the http://phobos.apple.com/.... url in the Add Podcast dialog and that it should just work? Maybe I misinterpreted the OP, but that is what I am looking for. I know that other apps can do it, but since I use Amarok for all of my other music management, I would prefer to also use it for podcasts. Thanks!
