Hi,

I am running amarok on my machine with version 1.4.4 and I am listening to shared files on my companies network over a samba share.  It will play the files fine and then it will eventually freeze and not play anything.  I have to then remove everything in my amarok home directory and then restart my computer to be able to use it again.  When I run dmesg after this happens I see:
smb_open: Radiohead - Amnesiac/Radiohead - Amnesiac - 11 - Life In A Glasshouse.mp3 access denied, access=0, wish=2

for every file that I am trying to play.  I do not try to add these files to my collection (because that will cause it to freeze as well) I am just adding them to my playlist.

Qt: 3.3.7
KDE: 3.5.5
Amarok: 1.4.4

Thanks for your help.

At any rate, 1.4.4 is extremely outdated. 1.4.8 is current, so you should upgrade.

Thanks, I have just upgraded.  Hopefully that will fix it and I can listen to my music again.
