Help installing

Sun Jan 27, 2008 2:31 am
Alright, I have next to no experience with all this stuff, but I really like this program and the customization it seems to offer. I've tried to install this, but I honestly have no idea what I'm doing. I don't know what plug-ins I'm supposed to download in addition to this, or what I'm even supposed to do with them once downloaded. Does anyone know of a really simple, clear way to install this? Thanks a lot

not unless you can offer a little more about how you've tried to install so far, and under what distro of linux. there are instructions for some of the more popular distros on the amarok wiki - http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Download

Well, say I wanted to use Fedora. Once I download all of the required plug-ins and things of that nature I am just completely lost.

What I'm getting at, is that generally you'd decide on a distro, install it, then use that distro's package manager to install Amarok, then launch the application. Unless you can be specific, any help will be of a very general nature. DO you use Fedora? Exactly what problem are you having?
