Whenever I try to play a track in amarok it crashes. I have recently installed ubuntu, and have had no luck getting any sound to work, but the fact that it causes program crashes confuses me. I get no error message, just the song commences at 0:00 secs, and never leaves. If I click 'pause', the program crashes.

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? I'm using a Toshiba Satellite A30 with an atiixp sound card (Realtek ATI AC97).

Please give us some more info. What version of Amarok are you trying to use?
