hi have problems playng ogg files in amarok.. f.e

You also need libogg.
Can you play oggs using xine only (e.g. xine somefile.ogg)? Check /usr/lib/xine/plugins/ and check for files xineplug_dmx_ogg.so and xineplug_decode_vorbis.so (if your distribution should use another directory to store these, try to find the files above using locate or find) If the files do not exist, than your xine lacks built-in vorbis support. |

hehe. ok this was one funny thing. actually xine didn't play it either. so i tried another ogg file (Not the ones bundled with kde) and voila... it's working
