I have two ipod problems with amarok. First: I the ipod always has an Itunes lock file. I rely on autodetection to supply the proper mount/eject commands. Could autodetection be faulty? My ipod is located in the media folder and is named BURP. Any guesses what the commands should be? Second, while autodetection works after the lock file is deleted, it crashes amarok. I then attempt to launch amarok a couple of times and eventually amarok comes up and handles the ipod without a problem. I am using Mepis 7, but I've had these things happen consistently under under Kubuntu also.
