Hi,
Whenever Amarok is playing a track and I do something else resource intensive (such as opening a program), Amarok plays the track "quickly", at about 1.5 to 2 times the normal pace. I upgraded to the most recent version at the repositories (1.4.8 ) but that didn't fix the problem. I usually use Juk, which very occasionally skips (but I think that is due to the song files themselves being poor quality) and was planning to switch to using Amarok, since it is better featured. Unless Amarok uses a huge amount of processing, it shouldn't be a resouce problem. I have 2gb of memory and a dual core processor (Intel core duo, E6750 2.66ghz). I only recently started trying Amarok, so as far as I know, it has never been in a state where it has "worked', so I can't count or discount and upgrade doing this. Does anyone know why this could be happening, or what I can do to trouble shoot the problem? Like I said before, this only happens in Amarok (surprising, since I thought it would use the same back-end libraries). System: Debian etc 4.0, KDE 3.5.8. My sources.list contains the "testing" repositories, and I fully upgraded all packages required by the current version of Amarok. |

Which engine do you use? (Settings -> Configure Amarok -> Engine)
