Hi,
I have a 160G Ipod classic, and recently synced my entire library using amarok. When I load my iPod, The songs dont appear to exist, yet the music is still seemingly taking up disk space. I have found several posts pointing me to: http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Media_Device ... _any_music. My SysInfo file was there, but a zero-byte file, so I just added the 1 line: FirewireGuid: 0x000A2700132E1868 That didnt seem to help at all. So ... I went to a friend's house, used his windows machine, and it told me it didn't recognize my iPod, and "restored" it, and I was able to load songs, and play them. When I got back home, I loaded the iPod in Amarok, and it saw the songs I had added from my friend. When I added 5 more of my own songs, and disconnected the iPod, 0 songs were recognized (again)... So, Amarok is somehow missing something to let the iPod know that the songs are to be played. I'm running Amarok 1.4.7, and am updated with the latest gtkpod version from the ubuntu Gusty repositories. For what it's worth, the SysInfo file didn't have a modelstr line in it, and Amarok recognizes my model, but not correctly, since it doesn't have an option for the 160gb model. Thanks for any help folks! |
